KIEV, Oct 22 (PRIME) -- Ukraine is ready to offer the E.U. additional gas transit capacities for 55 billion cubic meters (bcm) per year on special conditions, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said on Friday.
"The National Security and Defense Council has decided under a protocol with the government, Naftogaz and Transmission System Operator of Ukraine to set special conditions to transport an additional amount of natural gas via Ukraine’s gas pipeline system at a volume of at least 55 bcm per year," Danilov said.
He added that the special conditions will be in force for gas transit above the 40 bcm booked by Gazprom.
